'Picturing China' A photographic glimpse at the history of China, this exhibition showcases images of life in China before 1950. Many of the photographs have been in the possession of families or descendants of Chinese and British men and women who formerly lived there. Lodged away in attics and cupboards, these images include snapshots of social life, scenes of everyday Chinese life, and records of momentous political events.
‘Shen: Chinese Icons of Divinity’ This exhibition explores the carved wooden images found in Chinese temples, and the majority of objects on display are from the collection of Keith Stevens, a long standing researcher, who has had several books published on Chinese gods and contemporary Chinese popular religion. He collected the pieces in China from 1940 to 2000, as well as in Chinese communities throughout Southeast Asia.

Major Henry Rogers Broughton, 2nd Lord Fairhaven. The Chinese flower drawings are mostly botanical but some clearly decorative. The majority appear to have been made in the first half of the nineteenth century for the export market. Also on display will be paintings on pith paper, made in Canton by the artist You Qua.
